Forest School is our passion.

Observing, guiding and facilitating the learning of young people in an outdoor environment is a huge privilege and we are thrilled to have been able to realise our dream of setting up our own Forest School.

As fully qualified Forest School Leaders, our work enables us to witness first-hand the hugely positive impact that learning in an outdoor environment has to offer. Being surrounded by nature is proven to significantly increase physical and mental well-being in addition to boosting self-esteem, creativity, resilience and self-expression. All of the young people that we have worked with over the past three years have gained enormous benefits from the individualised approach to learning that is the foundation of a true Forest School, such as ours.

Acer Forest School offers young people the opportunity to learn through exploring, problem-solving and risk-taking at a pace that suits them, whilst providing a fun yet challenging, independent-learning experience enabling them to develop skills that will be invaluable to them throughout their lives.

As Forest School Leaders, it is our role to be guided by, to accommodate and to nurture the interests and ideas of each individual. Consequently, our sessions do not work towards a pre-determined end result but are instead, highly individualised and accessible to all young people, regardless of their age or ability. At Acer Forest School, your children’s learning journey will teach them resilience, team skills and self-evaluation, whilst encouraging them to take ‘safe risks’ in our beautiful woodland setting.

In line with the Forest School Ethos & Principles of ‘process not product’, Acer Forest School truly is about the journey, not the destination.
