Who we are...
Acer Forest School is a family-run business established by Chris and Tania. They have had a huge amount of support from family and friends who have played a huge part in their journey to make their dream of Acer Forest School a reality. They set up the business after both completing their Forest School Leader Level 3 training and witnessing the benefits and positive effects it had on their lives and the lives of their two daughters and other families.

We are both qualified:
-Level 3 Forest School Leaders
-Outdoor First Aid band 3, Emergency Paediatric First Aid including AED training
-Food Safety in Catering level 2
-Designated Safeguarding Leaders
-Enhanced DBS

We are very proud to annouce that In May 2022 we achieved a food hygiene rating of 5 the highest rating!​

I have worked with children of all ages for over 20 years. I have wanted to work with children, from a very early age and I was lucky enough to grow up surrounded by beautiful countryside, only going home for food (usually covered in mud and missing a welly!) So when I first discovered Forest School, it seemed like a perfect fit for me and since qualifying I haven't looked back. I love the way in which Forest School works; through process not product. Everyone has the opportunity to learn through their own discovery, not necessarily working towards a fixed end goal. Forest School treats everyone as an individual and accepts people for who they are. It doesn't have to 'fit in' with what society or everyone else expects. Forest School is my true passion and sharing my experience, knowledge and love of the outdoors with others is what truly matters to me.

Since growing up in the Kent countryside, I have always had a passion for the great outdoors and the wonders it has to offer. However, I never believed I would have the opportunity to combine my love of being outside with a career that I felt so strongly about. After learning about Forest School from my wife and having the privilege of supporting her during her pilot programme, I fell in love with everything Forest School has to offer. Seeing the benefits it can have on all those involved was incredible and inspired me to train too. Qualifying as a Level 3 Forest School Leader has offered me the opportunity to help others discover the great outdoors and to develop a deep connection with it, as I have. Developing the idea and then the reality of setting up Acer Forest School with Tania has been a fantastic experience and seeing the positive benefits Forest School has had on our own daughters and their passion in helping us to set up the business has been amazing.
